Jägermeister is an iconic German herbal liqueur with a dark brown color and a distinct flavor based on a strictly guarded recipe of 56 herbs, flowers, roots, and fruits. After six weeks of maceration, it ages for a full year in oak barrels, where it acquires a balanced character – gently bitter-sweet, herbal, and refreshed with citrus notes.

Among the known ingredients are citrus peels, anise, liquorice, saffron, ginger, and juniper. The rest of the composition remains a secret. Jägermeister is ideal when ice-cold, but it also tastes great in cocktails.
