Jägermeister is an iconic German herbal liqueur with a dark brown color and a pronounced flavor based on a strictly secret recipe of 56 herbs, flowers, roots, and fruits. After six weeks of maceration, it matures for a whole year in oak casks, where it gains a balanced character – delicately bittersweet, herbal, and refreshed with citrus notes.

Known ingredients include citrus peels, anise, licorice, saffron, ginger, and juniper. The rest of the composition remains a secret. Jägermeister is ideal when served ice-cold, but it also tastes great in cocktails.
